Hot Tape letters applied to a parking lot by Traffic Lines, Inc.

Hot Tape: Hot tape is simple to apply with minimal equipment. It is a very durable traffic marker that combines the imperviousness of thermoplastic with the easier installation of tape. It can bond to all concrete, asphalt, and brick without a primer or adhesive. Hot tape is impervios to grease and oils that can come from passing vehicles. This material has excellent skid resistance and is designed for areas that are subjected to high traffic volumes.

I. Application:

The material can be applied with minimal equipment, and traffic can continue right after the application. Hot tape is resistant to deterioration due to exposure to sunlight, water, oil, diesel fuels, gasoline, pavement oils, & salt.

II. Temperature:

The pavement and ambient air temperature can be as low as 32 degrees F for installation. There is no cracking due to freeze/thaw cycles and the reflectivitiy is as high in a thermoplastic marking because it also contains glass beads.
